The Leading Hotels of the World is a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the premier global authority in setting and managing standards for sustainable tourism worldwide. Our Sustainability Leaders collection showcases hotels that have been thoroughly vetted and awarded at least one certification based on globally recognized sustainability criteria, including certifications recognized by GSTC. There are over 40 certifications renowned for their rigorous auditing processes and global credibility included in the program. In addition, LHW has strategically partnered with six organizations to offer our hotels resources and tools to advance their sustainability strategies and more easily achieve certification - Dream&Charme, Vireo Srl, Travelife for Accommodation, Green Key Global, Green Globe, and World Travel & Tourism Council.
